FSPA school calendar 2009-2010

May 29- last day of regular school year dance classes

May 31- closed for Memorial Day

June 1 - ballet rehearsal at FSPA for Ballet 1, Ballet 3, Ballet 6, 1:00-3:00

June 2 - Lead character rehearsal at FSPA 12:30-3:00

June 2 - Picture day at FSPA, 4:00-6:00 pm.  Come to studio in costume to have professional photographs taken.

June 3- Dress rehearsal at Blair School of Music, 2400 Blakemore Ave, Nashville.  Park in South Garage or drop off & sign in older students at front entrance.  Please allow time for Nashville traffic & parking to arrive on time for rehearsal.  Students under 7 years old should have parent with them at rehearsal.

     3:00-4:00 Creative Movement, Preballet, Tap Intro

     4:00-4:45  Youth Acting & Creative Drama

     5:00-6:30  Act One - Modern 1, 2, 4, Ballet 2, Tap 4 & 5, Jazz 1,

                     Teen Jazz 2, Jazz 4, Jazz 7, Ballet 4x & 5

     6:30-8:00  Act Two - Girls Dance Crew, Boys Dance Crew, Modern 3,

                      Jazz 2 & 3, Jazz 5 & 6, Ballet 1, Ballet 3, Ballet 6, Character,

                       Tap 2 & 3, Ballet 4

·       ÂCreative Movement, Preballet, Tap Intro, & Creative Drama students will be finished at intermission & brought to the lobby to meet their parents. They may go home or join their families in the audience to watch the second half of the show.

·       ÂAll other students must remain backstage until the end of the show!  Our policy is without exceptions, and designed to ensure that the last dancers of the night still have an audience.

June 4 - 12:00-1:00 Teen Acting Dress Rehearsal, 1:00-2:30 Lead character run thru

June 4 - ALL PERFORMERS arrive by 6:00 to check in, show - 7:00 pm

June 5 - ALL PERFORMERS arrive by 1:00 to check in, show - 2:00 pm

      dinner break for performers - 4:45-6:00 pm (can leave or stay)

            �ALL PERFORMERS arrive by 6:00 to check in, show - 7:00 pm

June 7-11, Ballet Princess Camp for age 4-6

June 14-18, 2010 – Ballet Princess Camp age 6-9 & Drama Camps age 9-18

June 21-25, 2010 – 1 week Beginner Dance Intensive (age 9 & up)

July 12 – 30, 2010 – Intermed. & Advanced Dance Intensives (by audition)

August 2-6, 2010 – FSPA Company Camps (Required)

August 9-August 29, 2010 – Company rehearsals & classes

August 30, 2010 – First Day of Fall classes
